Dark roast

Characteristics - Dark chocolate, full body, and smoke

Coffee production in Sumatra, Indonesia, is predominantly carried out by small-scale farmers using traditional methods. The region's high-altitude and volcanic soil provide an ideal environment for the growth of Arabica coffee, which is typically cultivated under shaded conditions to protect the plants from extreme weather and provide a habitat for wildlife. The coffee cherries are carefully hand-picked and processed using either the wet-hulled or dried-hulled method, both of which are unique to Sumatra and result in a distinct earthy and spicy flavor profile.

The Washed Coffee Process

Considered the most coffee forward method of extracting coffee beans from the cherry using water and agitators. This process results in arguably the cleanest coffee taste.
