Nestled along the breathtaking slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro, smallholder farmers united in four Agricultural Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS) endeavor to safeguard Tanzania's cherished tradition of organic coffee cultivation. Blessed with nutrient-rich volcanic soil and an ideal climate, this region has long been synonymous with exemplary Tanzanian coffee. Here, farmers meticulously tend to their Arabica coffee plants, thriving on small parcels of land without resorting to synthetic inputs.

These passionate farmers are driven by a commitment to sustainable agricultural practices, utilizing age-old indigenous methods to maintain the historical essence of Tanzanian coffee production. Elevations ranging from 1,540 to 1,800 meters above sea level, combined with the fertile volcanic terrain of Kilimanjaro, provide the perfect backdrop for these efforts. In unison, the four AMCOS proudly yield up to 80 metric tons of pristine organic green coffee annually.
