Kochere, situated in the esteemed Yirgacheffe coffee-growing region of Ethiopia, is a small yet significant area in the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region (SNNPR) in the southern part of the country. Located just south of Yirgacheffe and approximately 250 miles southwest of Addis Ababa, this captivating locale is where the exceptional quality of Ethiopian coffee is brought to fruition.

Kochere is the site of washing stations, vital facilities where local farmers gather to process their meticulously cultivated coffee beans. The soil in this area contains a high concentration of iron, imparting a unique character to the beans, while the high altitude adds an additional layer of quality to the coffee cultivation process. With a steadfast commitment to quality and a distinct terroir, this area continues to be a significant contributor to the exceptional coffee produced in Ethiopia.
