Buck's Lake - Local Pickup Only
Introducing Buck's Lake, our exquisite single-origin coffee beans from the high altitudes of the Pico Congolon mountain range in Honduras, nestled between the Reserva Biologica de Opalaca and Reserva Biologica Volcan Pacavita. Harvested from Joel's family-owned farm, Los Lesquines, which has been a labor of love for four generations since 1865.
Los Lesquines farm covers approximately 67 hectares and boasts a variety of coffee plants including Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai. The unique location of the farm in the western region of Honduras provides the perfect conditions for cultivating superior coffee beans, with distinct rainy and dry seasons that contribute to the development of beautifully ripe cherries.
The meticulous care and attention to detail in the cultivation process are evident in the resulting flavors of the coffee beans. After the harvest, the cherries undergo a meticulous washed processing method and are then sun-dried to perfection. This process, combined with the microclimate of the region, the nutrient-rich clay soil, and the abundance of warm sunlight, creates a symphonic cup profile that is truly exceptional.
When you take a sip of this single-origin coffee, you will be greeted with a bright acidity that tingles your taste buds, followed by a delightful medley of flavors. Notes of roasted almond provide a warm and nutty undertone, while hints of green apple add a refreshing crispness to each sip. The subtle sweetness of vanilla rounds off the flavor profile, creating a harmonious balance that is both complex and inviting.
Each cup of coffee brewed from these beans tells the story of Joel's dedication to his family's legacy and the rich history of coffee cultivation in Honduras. With every sip, you are transported to the lush mountainsides where the coffee plants thrive, benefiting from the unique terroir and the expertise of generations of farmers.
Whether you are a coffee aficionado looking to explore new flavor profiles or someone who simply appreciates a good cup of coffee, these single-origin beans from Los Lesquines farm will not disappoint. Experience the essence of Honduras in every drop and savor the commitment, passion, and tradition that goes into each batch of these exceptional coffee beans.
Indulge in a sensory journey like no other with our single-origin coffee beans from the heart of the Pico Congolon mountain range. Elevate your coffee ritual with the flavors of Los Lesquines and let the rich history and expertise of the farm shine through in every sip.
